Keith and find that she will deed there eight eight or ten acres of land if they will come and stay with her as long as she lives - will deed the land as soon as they arrive at her place but will not provide further for them, she not being able. I know of no objections to granting the transportation.

Respectfully returned to Bvt Maj General Davis Tillson Asst Commissioner State of Ga with the information that the within mentioned freed persons are by no means destitute or in need of transportation. The girl Lavinia who is very light, made a complaint at this office of her husband who is black, a few months since and to whom she was legitimately married not six months before.  Upon investigation I found both equally to blame but she refused to live with her husband although he is able and willing to support her. She is at work receiving good wages. Regarding the boys, the eldest was living with L.D. Burnell Agent of the Bureau at this place. He was receiving five dollars per month and being fed but he left the place without any cause. He has been gaining eight dollars per month and subsistence through the summer. They have never represented themselves once as being destitute. on the
