(Williams & Wormley v.s. Sterling)
before he was sold.   Ques Was the Horse well the day before that.   Ans. yes.   Ques Did he work on Tuesday.   Ans. Yes. You drove him to Pickets farm the Tuesday before the sale.   Ques. Did the horse seem well when you was working him?   Ans. Yes.   Ques Did you plough with him.   Ans. Yes.   Ques Didnt you plough heavy ploughing.   Ans. Yes. Worked him aside another horse.   Ques. What did Wormly say to you on Sat. last when he came to you?   Ans. He asked me didn't the Dr. say the horse was sound? I told him I couldn't say so. I told him I had often heard the Dr. say he wouldnt warrant a sicking colt, to be sound. Then he asked me wouldnt I come down here if called on to say I heard the Dr say the horse was sound. I said I would come down.   Ques. by Asst. Supt. Did this man use any threats if you didnt say as he wanted you to say.   Ans. No Sir.   Ques How long have you worked the horse?   Ans. I have been working him two months. The Dr has had the horse ever since I worked there. I never knew the horse to be sick at anytime.

I live in Wmbg. I am an Auctioneer. I held an Auction on the 17th instant at Williamsburg. Dr. Sterling's horses were consigned to me for sale
