Mr Colbert, of Noxubee Co. Miss. requested me to write you relative to a settlement "R.H.G." Cotton 1866.

The freedpersons are in great distress, & will become dependent on the Government, unless this affair is arranged satisfactorily, One fourth of the Cotton, belongs to Harrison, & Company, (freedpersons,)

I ask you to make a final settlement without further delay.
