surrendered their witnesses, colored men who worked on the place and who were present during the difficulty, viz. Peter Taggart, Birnell Wiggins and Wm. Harnaker Peter Taggart is Sam's grandfather. Each of the witnesses testified to the truth of Fuller's affidavit and statement before the court. Wm. Fuller just getting out of a sick bed, was physically unable to help himself. The witnesses also testified that all the hands were working on shares, and that the crop was not divided, and that they remonstrated with Sam Taggart against his taking the fodder and making a disturbance on the place.
