Claim for wages for last years work — term served out but pay not recd. Case referred to civil authorities, and report of action required.

Claim for hogs left in the care of "B.H." who kept them — and yet refuses to give them up. B.H. ordered to report at my office on Friday Oct. 18th 1867. case settled at date by
adjudging that Ransom get the old one & Burrell keep the the remainder.

Mr W. U. Kaigler, Mr Joseph O'Mara, & [[blank space]] as referee's, witnesses & principals summoned. on account of sickness of Mr Lewis the case is ordered to be settled in
the dist. where the parties live, & record of proceedings sent to me. Nov 4 recd Settlement by referees
receipts in full - to date - given by both parties.

Claim pay for labor for 1866, Jos & A O'neil have due bills - settlement having been made; J.O'N never had any settlement. Mr Haynes summoned to appear to ans. on Monday Nov [[?]] 1867. Parties present Josiah O'Neal and Mr Haynes settled due bills acknowledged & payment promised as soon as possible property all taken by Mr H by "bill of chancery" & nothing available; suit dismissed.
