7 Isabella Stewart Cold. vs Malbert Stewart Colored ——— Complaint of having been beaten repeatedly, by her husband Malbert Stewart sent for Malbert to appear before me which he did Case settled by Malbert making suitable apologies and promising to treat his wife with kindness in future. Aug. 1st 1868.

8 Miss Maggie Johnson vs Patience Colored 
Complaint that Patience owes her one dollar ($1.00) and refuses to pay, money due for making dress. Sent for Patience, who acknowledged the debt Case settled by Patience paying the dollar which was satisfactory. Aug. 6th 1868. 

9 James A. Cresswell vs. Several Freedmen:
Complaint that his storeroom was entered and robed of its contents, and asked for permission to search the quarters of said Freedmen, for the Purpose of finding said provisions consisting of Bacon, Sugar, Flour and Coffee. Permission to search was granted but resulted in finding nothing, and the case was droped. Aug. 4th 1868.

10 J.P. Womack vs. Freedmen on his plantation
Complaint that they have burned his fences, and killed twenty head of his cattle. Womack claims pay for the destruction of his fences and cattle, from the Freedmen under his employ. Parties to be summoned immediately, and the case to be investigated. Aug. 6th 1868.

11 Sally Ann Jane colored vs. Tignor
Complaint that Tignor did beat and abuse her with his fist and with a stick, and did also beat her two little children and stamp upon their hands bruising them badly. Case turned over to the civil Authorities, to be investigated at once.
Aug. 7th 1868.

12 George Denis Cold vs John Jones
Complaint that Jones wishes them to clear land preporatory for next season claiming that it is in accordance with contract, Denis denying the same  parties were summon & found according to contract that Jones had no right to compell them to do any such work, Case desided vs Jones 

13 Mrs Betsey Johnson Cold Madison Yong Cold
Complaint of having been beaten & also a refusal of Madison of paying Betsey any thing for her salary  Summon parties to appear. Case investigated Yong found guilty of a prior charge  I therefore requested him to pay Betsey for 8½ months work as cook & house keeper the sum of $40 00/100 in instalments & rent which he refused to do after being advised by two or three parties therefore he is prosecuted before the civil Courts Case to be tryed August 25th/68
