30 Daniel Powell cold. vs. Board of Police of Wilkinson County. Bill of five dollars ($5.00) for making a Coffin for a cold Pauper Child. Presented the bill to the Board and it was accepted, and will be paid after next meeting.

31 Mrs. Frishon vs. Peter Cousins, Cold. Complains that Peter owes her Rent from Aug. to Dec. 31st 1867 $25.00 from Feby. to Aug 1868. $14.00 and from Jany 1st to March 31st 1868. $12.00 Amtg to $51.00. And requests me to collect the same for her, which I am trying to do to her satisfaction.

32 Anjetine Kahn cold vs. Chas. Kahn, her husband  Complains that her husband beats her unmercifully, on acct of another woman. She has four children by Charles. She cannot stay with him any longer. Ordered Charles before me and after investigating the case ordered him to take the children and support them, and for them to separate and not live together anymore

33 J. Dawson vs. Lewis Bell cold. Complains of Bell having hired a mule to one Carter cold. without permission, as he Dawson owned the mule, and he claims hire for the mule. Summoned witnesses, and proved that Dawson hired the mule to Bell to make a crop, and that Carter was using the mule in said crop, so that there was no reason for complaint. Ordered Bell to return the mule and not to be interrupted anymore.

34 David Coles cold. vs G.H. Simrall Complains that Simralls owes him twenty dollars $20.00 And puts Simralls Note in my hands to collect that amt, which I am trying to do.

35 Summoned Talbot Ray cold. to appear to answer complaint made by his wife. Parties to appear on the Aug. 31st 1868.

36 Laura Lyndeman cold. vs. John Spencer  Complains that Spencer owes her for nursing his child nearly six months, at $4.00 pr. month. Has recd. payment in full with the exception of five dollars & 75/100 $5.75. Summoned the parties and Spencer settled it by paying three dollars $3.00 which was satisfactory.

37 Lewis Turner cold. vs. Sam. Stevenson  Complains that he was discharged without any cause. Summoned parties to appear for settlement.

38 Mr. Sanders for Reuben H. Zowty vs. Isaac Marks and Anthony Maxwell, both cold. Complaints that they are living in houses on Zowty's place, and have no interest in his crop nor are they employed by him. They have no visible means of support. Ordered them to evacuate the houses and leave the place which they did -
Aug. 27th 1868
