+ + + The colored boy George Harris, is in good health, and employed by Mr Gabriel Taylor of Pearisburg, Giles County Va who treats him kindly, and is learning him to read and write would give him up, if required to do so by the Bureau although he fells considerable interest in him but the boy is not satisfied to return to his mother, and earnestly requests that he may be suffered to remain with Mr Taylor where he has a good home. I do not think he would remain with his mother if forced to return to her + + + In reference to the alleged charge of abduction, I would respectfully refer you to the enclosed communication received from Mr James OKeiffer
