The children have been attending school and do not wish to be separated from their mother. nor can this office advise such a separation. Sigd. I think M E. must be referring to Memorandum and Endorsements - or it was Endorsements and Memorandum. This has been a column heading seen in other letters. It is mentioned in this letter - "A copy can be found in the E. and M. Book."
