Brown, Asst Comr. inviting attention to enclosed certificate of Dr. Smith, Surg. in chg of city jail, with the request that an order be furnished for the admission of Daniel Jones, cold, into Insane ward of Howard Grove Hospital, Richmond, Va. for treatment. also transportation for him with two attendants from Petersburg to Richmond, and return transportation for the latter. 
Daniel Jones was sent to the Asylum at Richmond in Dec 1866, but from some cause is again at large in a worse state of insanity than before
