Respectfully forwarded to Col. S.F. Chalfin, A.A. Genl. 1st Mil. Dist. (thro. Hd. Qrs. Asst. Comr.) with the recommendation that the two enlisted men of the 21st Regt. U.S. Inftry., on detached duty at this office as orderlies, be allowed commutation of rations at the rate of 50 cts. per ration, they have had no rations furnished them during the past month and have no facilities for cooking, or Quarters at this place. I desire to state that I have previously asked for this commutation.
