The applicant for Transportation Fanny Clayton, was in Port Royal on a visit; for a week before the document reached me (July 10) and was then thinking of returning to Washington, where her husband is employed and doing well. 
Fanny Clayton has no desire to live at Port Royal: nor has Elizabeth Sayles (Fanny's daughter) any desire to seperate her father and mother. Elizabeth Sayles further states that though she sent a letter like the one enclosed in some particulars, that she never sent the

one enclosed.
