Respectfully returned to Capt. S.P. Lee, S.A.C. with information that I have communicated with Messrs. Tucker & Noland, Attorneys at Law, in regard to this case and they are of the opinion that the long accrued interest on this Estate can soon be recovered.
At the August term of Court I hope to be able to further inform myself as to what steps the counsel for Mrs Jane Taliferro (cold) proposes taking in view of a speedy adjustment of this Case. After having Examined the Stay Law of this State, I am of the opinion that if it can be clearly proven that the interest on the Estate is necessary to the support of Mrs. Taliferro's child, there will be no impediment to a speedy collection of this long accrued interest.

Respectfully returned to Capt. Garrick Mallery, A.A.A.G. with the request that ($300.00/100) be appropriated for this school, as I am satisfied that a good school will be maintained at Hamilton. I know the white people in that neighborhood are much interested in the welfare of the freedmen, and will help them sustain a school, if a house can be built. I think with the assistance of $300.00/100 a good house will be
