Respectfully forwarded approved - although I do not believe there has been a case of real cholera in this City - and do not anticipate that Cholera will exist here as an epidemic this season - for ensuring proper sanitary condition, the articles asked for within are a necessity - and trust will be furnished at the earliest possible moment.

Respectfully forwarded to the Major General Comr. - from the strong personal representation of Capt. S. P. Lee, S.A.C. in addition to the within, it is respectfully requested that the provisions of S.O. 112. Par 3. Bu Hd. Qrs., dated July 27th 1867 be so far modified that Lt. W. S. Chase V.R.C. be retained on duty in this District.
The representation of Captain Lee would render it desirable that 2nd Lieut. Wm Shields 44th U.S. Infantry, should be relieved from duty in this Dist._

Respectfully returned to Bvt. Lt. Col. James Johnson, S.A.C. with the following report. There are several Corbans or Corbins in the County, and until a few days ago I could not find where those persons were. About 3 weeks ago this family went to Washington, their Bro. in law paying their transportation.
