Armstrong, Agt. with the information that this proposed school at Hicks Wharf is considered well worthy assistance; it is believed a flourishing school can be maintained. The people are preparing logs for the frame, they appear Energetic and willing to help themselves to the best of their ability; the undersigned has assured them that aid would only be requested by him upon their securing a deed for the load and erecting the frame of the building. 
On these conditions Govt. assistance to the amount of one hundred dollars is respectfully solicited.
