I have no doubt that a School and Church at Meridian are most needed and the assistance asked for is grant and the money disbursed under direction of the Sub Asst. Comr. for that District. I have no doubt it would do much good. I would make the aid contingent upon the people raising a small sum to aid say $200 Any funds disposable for this purpose would no doubt be well expended in affording the relief asked for. Sub Asst Comr E.B.64 S.D.L 1867 Endorsement on comn from Elijah Dansby citizen Jasper Co in reference to an appropriation to aid in the erection of a school for cold children at that place Paulding Jasper Co Aug. 25 1867 Dansby Elijah citizen states that a school has been started for cold children abt [[?]] south Jasper Co and requests to know if any appropriation has been by the B R F and A L for the purpose of erecting schools for education of children of the district and if so through what source it can be secured.
