In compliance with your request, I attended the trial of Henry yesterday Evening. Was not present during the examination of witnesses, but heard all the evidence read and do not hesitate in saying that all combined in proving Henry not only drunk but quite disorderly and abusive in his
manners towards and old white man, who it is said was in charge of one of the station houses at this place. I know Henry to be a good boy when sober, but when drunk he is of a very turbulent disposition and quite insulting. The consequence was the offender was discharged and Henry fined ten dollars, in addition to court fees which Henry has paid 
I requested Myerhoffs to furnish you a copy of the proceedings of the court which he agreed to do.

Allow me to inquire of you if it will be entirely necessary for me to advance the money before getting the rations.  My difficulties here in being arrested and tried some time ago entirely rid me of what little money I collected last month. This month I have received nothing. If this business is strictly cash I will be unable to avail myself of the benefit, at least for the present of getting supplies.

Please inform me as early as convenient and oblige Friend R.F. Campbell
