In the application of Emma Jackson as the widow of Wm. Jackson, Co. A, 103rd U.S.C.T. Phyllis Flemming and James McCale swear that they have known the claimant twenty years, that she is a resident of Charleston S.C. and the widow of the soldier. A Certificate signed by Rev Alex. W. Marshall, pastor of St Johns Chapel, Hamstead, is on file, in which he states that he married the soldier and claimant on the 15th of April (Thursday) 1847 in Charleston S.C.
