A Treas Cert'f has been issued in favor of Mary Martin of St. Louis, as Widow of George Martin but payment has been suspended on acct. of application filed by you as agent of Mary Martin.
I shall be at Cairo Ills on the 22nd of June and if you can not have the witnesses there for examination to satisfactorily show that she was the legal wife and widow of Geo Martin, please send me at this place such proof as you have in form of affidavits to show fully that she was the legal wife and widow.
