Yours of the 10th inst in relation to Nathan McGee is received. I have no Bounty at present for Nathan McGee for services in the army. I have however Bounty for Nathan McGee, the Father of Benjamin Franklin (dec'd) for services rendered by the latter in the army. Nathan McGee must be identified by the affidavits of two credible witnesses as the Father of Benj Franklin who served in a particular Co and Regiment, and show satisfactorily that he is the veritable Nathan McGee in whose favor the Treasury Certificate was issued.

P.S. If is not too late to prosecute claims for Bounty for those who are entitled to it.

Yours of the 19th inst is received. Violet Canterbury Mother of Manuel Wallace was paid at Cario Ills at the City National Bank, on the 20th June 1873. Her identity was sworn to by Samuel and Isaac Coficed before C.D. Smith Notary Public at Paducah Ky and Mr. Smith certifies in his affidavit that she was the Violet Canterbury, Mother of Manuel Wallace Co. H 8 H.A. for whom he filed the claim for Bounty. The Treasury Records at Washington show that Mr C.D. Smith was the agent in the case.
