Answer: At Tates Station on railroad from Clarksville Tenn. to Russellville Ky. I was living with Mr. Sam Hollins about two miles from Tates' Station. Question: What are the nearest towns to Tates' Station. Answer: Gutherie's is nearest, about 2 miles. Question: Who were your witnesses when you applied for bounty. Answer: The first time I went to Mr. Buck, agent of the Bureau in Clarksville and my witnesses were Hayward Walter and Joshua Heuyter. The next man I went to was Mr. McMillan in same office and Hayward Walter went with me and Lewis Hatcher. I put in my claim about five years ago.
