Robert S. Armstrong, "I" Co., 109 Regt. U.S.C. Troops was born in Barren Ky, was enlisted the 15th day of June, 1864, at [[crossed-out]] Bowling Green Ky [[/crossed-out]] by [[crossed-out]] Capt Hobson, [[/crossed-out]] and was mustered in the 15th day of June, 1864, at Bowling Green. Ky, by Capt Hobson, for Three years. At the time of enlistment he was Twenty Five years old, and Five feet
Ten 3/4 inches in height. He [[crossed-out]] was discharged (or [[/crossed-out]] died) in Virginia 2d day of 
[[crossed-out]] June, 1865 [[/crossed-out]], at Fort Monroe Va; Capt Samuel Campbell was commanding officer, and Wm B. Hill First Sergeant at time of soldiers death. The following are the names of one or more of his company who enlisted at or about same time and place: Ambrose Hudson
enlisted 15th day of June, 1864, and Henry Jones enlisted 15th day of June, 1864.
