Grissom Description - Where Born Jefferson, Ky Age 49 years. Occupation Farmer Eyes Blk Hair Blk Complexion Blk Height 5 feet 10 1/4 inches. Discharged [[strikethrough]] or died [[/strikethrough]] at Port Lavaca, Texas on the day of February 1866 Commanding Officer Lieut Horton First Sergeant Harry Howard Enlisted about the same time and place. REMARKS. Slave of Thomas Philips, Owensboro, Ky. when Enlisted Was in Hospital at Fort Monroe from Feby, 1865 to time of Muster out of Co, in Texas. Recd discharge Louisville Alford Crabtree & Udom Nelson were Co. Musicians.
