Green Ashurst, Pvt Co., A 114 Reg't U.S.C Troops  was born in Pulaski Co. Ky, was enlisted the 6 day of June, 1864, at Somerset Ky, by R.J. Lester, and was mustered in the 16 day of June, 1864, at London, by Capt R. Hayes for 3 years. 

At the time of enlistment he was 39 years old, and 5 feet 9½ inches high, black complexion, black eyes, black hair, and by occupation a Farmer. He was discharged [[strikethrough]] (or died) [[/strikethrough]] 2 day of April, 1867, at Brazos Santiago. Texas, Capt L.C. Drake was commanding officer, and Richard Wait first sergeant at time of soldier's Discharge.
