John Kelley, Private Co., "H." 4th Reg't U.S.C. A. (Hy.) was born in [[strikethrough]] Romley, [[/strikethrough]] Va., was enlisted the 26th day of October, 1863, at Cairo, Ills., by Lt. [[strikethrough]] Johnson [[/strikethrough]], and was mustered in the 29th day of October, 1863, at Columbus, Ky., by Lt. Fetterman, for 3 years.

At the time of enlistment he was [[strikethrough]] 23 [[/strikethrough]] years old, and 5 feet 7 inches high, Yellow complexion, Black eyes, Black hair, and by occupation a Weaver. He was discharged [[strikethrough]] (or died) [[/strikethrough]] 25th day of February, 1866, at Little Rock, Ark. Capt. E. Kenney was commanding officer, and Alexander Shaw first sergeant at time of soldier's discharge. [[strikethrough]] The following are the names of one or more of his company who enlisted at or about the same time and place:   enlisted   day of   186 , and    enlisted   day of   186 .
