Wyatt Jackson, Private Co., "H," 4th Reg't U.S.C A. (Hy.) was born in [[strikethrough]] Carrol Co, [[/strikethrough]] Louisiana, was enlisted the 25th day of October, 1863, at Paducah, Ky, by Lt. Johnson, and was mustered in the 28th day of October, 1863, at Columbus, Ky, by Lt. Fetterman, for 3 years. 

At the time of enlistment he was [[strikethrough]] 26 [[/strikethrough]] years old, and 5 feet 6 inches high, Black complexion, Black eyes, Black hair, and by occupation a Laborer. He was discharged [[strikethrough]] (or died) [[/strikethrough]] 9th day of February, 1866, at St. Louis, Mo. 
Capt. E. Kenneys Keimes was commanding officer, and Alexander Shaw first sergeant at time of soldier's discharge. [[strikethrough]] The following are the names of one or more of his company who enlisted at or about the same time and place:  enlisted  day of  186 , and  enlisted ] day of , 186 . [[/strikethrough]]

Joined Co. at Original Organization 
On the Muster Out Roll of Co. dated Little Rock, Ark. Feby 25th/66, he is reported "Absent sick in U.S. Gen'l Hospital St. Louis, Mo, since Nov. 18th/65. No discharge given",
Discharged on Surg. Cert. of Disability at U.S. Marine  Genl Hospital because of "An accidental gunshot wound of the right hand with permanent contraction of the flexor rendering the hand useless." In hospt for 3 or 4 months.
