Andrew Collins, Private Co., "C" 5th Reg't U.S.C. Artry hy was born in Natchez Miss, was enlisted the 1st day of August, 1863, at Natchez Miss, by Colonel H. Leib, and was mustered in the 7th day of August, 1863, at Vicksburg Miss, by Lieut P. K. Thomas, for 3 years.
At the time of enlistment he was 17 years old, and 5 feet 1 inches high, Black complexion, Dark eyes, Black hair, and by occupation a Farmer. He [[strikethrough]] was discharged (or [[/strikethrough]] died) 27th day of October, 1863, at Vicksburg, Miss  Lieut Joshua Donnerd was commanding officer, and 
George D. Greenleaf first sergeant at time of soldier's death. [[strikethrough]] The following are the names of one or more of his company who enlisted at or about the same time and place:   enlisted   day of   186 , and   enlisted   day of   186 . [[/strikethrough]]
