NARA1288 (Form 24.) Moses Malone, Private Co., "H" 123rd Reg't U.S.C Troops was born in Woodford Kentucky, was enlisted the 20th day of September, 1864, at Camp Nelson Ky, by J. C. Randolph, and was mustered in the 21st day of September, 1864, at Camp Nelson Ky, by Capt. N. C. Kenny, for 3 years. At the time of enlistment he was 57 years old, and 5 feet 8 inches high, Black complexion, Black eyes, Black hair, and by occupation a Farmer. He [[strikethrough]] was discharged (or [[/strikethrough]] died 13th day of May, 1865, at Camp Nelson, Ky. 1st Lieut Elijah E. Clark was commanding officer, and Jerry Kiser first sergeant at the time of soldiers death.
