Please furnish any information the papers afford, upon which the above settlement was made, that will assist in the identification of the claimant. The name of the Sub-Agent or Attorney is of value.

[REPLY.] 
It is stated in the application upon which the settlement referred to above was made that the soldier died at Camp Nelson, Ky on or about the - day of May or June, 1865, that her maiden name was Sarah Hayes, that she was married to said Thos. Ellis on or about the - day of Dec 1847 at Lexington, Kentucky, by one Christopher Brand, a Methodist Preacher.
