George Rodgers, Corporal Co., "K," 117th Reg't U.S.C. Troops was born in Clark Co., Kentucky, was enlisted the 27th day of September, 1864, at Paris, Ky., by Capt. Moore nd was mustered in the 30th day of September, 1864, at Lexington, Ky., by Capt. Moore, for 3 years. 
At the time of enlistment he was 26 years old, and 5 feet 9 inches high, Brown complexion, Black eyes, Black hair, and by occupation a Farmer. He was [[strikethrough]] discharged (or [[/strikethrough]] died) 28th day of June, 1866, at Brownsville, Texas_ Capt. Orlando C. Bryant was commanding officer, and James Emory first sergeant at time of soldier's death.

REMARKS.
1. If a slave, that fact and name of owner will be noted here.
2. Any other peculiar fact or event connected with the soldier's history will also be noted. 

The Register of Enrollment of Col'd Troops, 7th Dist, Ky, reports him "Slave."
