FORM 24. James Bryant, Private Co., F. 50 Reg’t U.S.C.T was born in Monroe Co La., was enlisted the 20 day of July, 1863, at Natchez Miss, by Capt. King and was mustered in the 25 day of July, 1863, at Vicksburg, Miss, by Lt K Knox, for 3 years. At the time of enlistment he was 25 years old, and 5 feet 6 inches high, Black complexion, Black eyes, Black hair, and by occupation a Laborer. He [[strikethrough]] was discharged (or [[/strikethrough]] died 1 day of October, 1864, at Vicksburg, Miss Capt A.C. King was commanding officer, and D. C. Canard first sergeant at time of soldier’s death. REMARKS. 1. If a slave, that fact and name of owner will be noted here. 2.
