Edmond Elliot, Private Co., A 5 Reg't U.S.C. [?] was born in Jefferson Co. Miss., was enlisted the 27 day of July, 1863, at Natchez, Miss., by Col. [?] and was mustered in the 7 day of August, 1863, at Vicksburg, Miss. by Lt. P.K. Thomas, for 3 years.

At the time of enlistment he was 25 years old, and 5 feet 5 inches high, yellow complexion, Black eyes, Black hair, and by occupation a laborer.  He died 4 day of Oct., 1863, at Vicksburg, Miss.  Capt. Robert T. Paine was commanding officer, J. Wesley Hammond first sergeant at time of soldier's death.
