William Craig, Private Co "F" 114th Reg't U.S.C. Troops
was born in Jessamine, Kentucky, was enlisted the 31st day of
May , 1864, at Camp Nelson, Ky by Col. Sedgwick and was mustered in the 17th day of June, 1864, at Camp Nelson, Ky, by Col. Sedgwick, for 3 years. At the time of enlistment he was 20 years old, and 5 feet 5 inches high, black complexion, black eyes, black hair, and by occupation a laborer. He was discharged 2nd day of April 1867, at Brazos Santiago, Texas.
1st Lt. James Kelley Co. Ky was commanding officer, and Morris Barber first sergeant at time of soldier's discharge.

REMARKS

2. Any other peculiar fact or event connected with the soldier's history will also be noted.
He was a slave of Mrs. Casey Roberts Jessamine Co. Ky. Joined company at original organization. Present for duty from organization to muster out of Co.  He was mustered out with company. No record of company or principal musician(?)
