NARA0363 (FORM 24.) Elijah Smith, Pvt Co., E. 99 Reg't U.S.C.T. was born in Wilson, Miss, was enlisted the 20 day of August, 1863, at New Orleans La. by Lt. G.H Hanks and was mustered in the 27 day of August, 1863, at New Orleans La., by Lt A. McAllister, for 3 years. At the time of enlistment he was 20 years old, and 5 feet 2 inches high, Dark complexion, Dark eyes, Black hair, and by occupation a Laborer. He was discharged 23 day of April, 1866, at Tallahassie, Fla. Capt. O.P. Ireland was commanding officer, and Henry Robinson first sergeant at time of soldier's discharge. REMARKS. 1.
