Henry Gaiter, Pvt Co., G 108 Regt. U.S.C. Ts was born in Bullitt, Kentucky, was enlisted the 5 day of July, 1864, at Louisville K'y, by Capt. Smith, and was mustered in the 5 day of July, 1864, for 3 years.

At the time of enlistment he was 24 years old, and 5 feet 6 inches in height. He was discharged [[strikethrough]] or died [[/strikethrough]] 21" day of March, 1866, at  V'Burg Miss; Capt. T.J. Neal was commanding officer, and Peter Ray First Sergeant at time of soldiers discharge. The following are the names of one or more of his company who enlisted at or about same time and place: Smith King enlisted 5 day of July, 1864, and Frederick King enlisted 5 day of July, 1864.

Joined Company at original organization. Slave of Charles Lee. He was mustered out with Company. Occupation Farmer. Dark eyes, hair and complexion.
