Your Petitioner Mrs. Ellen M. Booker respectfully represents that she is an old citizen of Maury County in the State of Tennessee, and the lawful and rightful owner of a Tract of Land in the County of Phillip and State of Arkansas, situated about Seven Miles west of Helena, on the Little Rock Road, which is claimed by the Agent of your Department as abandoned Land

Petitioner represents that the said Land was never in any way abandoned by her, nor has she ever been engaged in any manner whatever in the late Rebellion - That for many years previous to the War, she had a Plantation established on said tract of Land, which she conducted and carried on through an Agent & Manager, visiting said place herself two or three times a year, and spending as much time thereon as seemed to be necessary; that for the last ten years W.A.F. Renfro has been in her employment as such Agent & Manager, who has resided on the place for said period and is still living there in her employment, and she was not aware until very recently that the Agents of the Government, claimed it in any way. 

Mr. Renfro her Agent took the oath of allegiance on the 14th day of Feby 1864, and very soon afterwards took the amnesty oath also, and has been regarded and claims
