Sir -

I have the honor to make application for the following described real estate, to wit - four Lots Nos. 1, 2, 3, & 4 in Block 18, in the city of Fayetteville state of Arkansas, on which is built my Homestead-

The aforesaid property is reported abandoned by the Asst Commissioner of the Freeds Bureau at Little Rock and the same advertised for lease - or rent -

Enclosed herewith I send a certified copy of my oath as prescribed by the President in his Proc. of the 29th of May 1865 -

The property aforesaid was reported abandoned first, by the Spec. Agt. of the Treasury at this place in the summer of 1865, - I was in the South at that time.  As the close of the war, I returned to my Home, and am now occupying my Homestead -

I further certify in Honor, that there is no indictment or complaint pending against me in any of the courts
