Ajax disapeared.

Thur. May 24th
We got a snake.

Fri. May 25th
Arthur Carey went at about ten o'clock.
Cloudy day.

Sat. May 26th
Rainy day. We let the snake go.

Sun. May 27th
Miss Jones said she was going away before the first of July. Rainy day. We found a lizzard. My papa went fishing and got some fish, in the after-noon.

Mon. May 28th
We got a letter from Arthur Carey. My papa shot through the window-pane at a crow. Rainy day.

Tue. May 29th
Miss Jones, Gerald, and I, spent the 


morning at the park. Sunny and hot most of the day.

Wed. May 30th
Sunny and hot. My papa cut Gerald's hair pretty short.

Thur. May 31st
We paddled down to Harrisville. Miss H. called on us.

Fri. June 1st
We spent the morning at the park. Sunny and hot. We walked up the Thompson road in the after-noon. Mary went home.

Sat. June 2nd
Arthur Carey was expected. We pad-dled down to Harrisville. We got a letter from Arthur Carey. We paddl-ed up the inlet. Right after dinner we borrowed Dr. Matthewson's old horse Dolly; and all rode to the post office.
