Oct 20. Sunday. Some work in my lab. during the morning Mr. Mohlman took lunch with us. Lewis had motored here from Kingsbridge and he got hung up at Glenwood Avenue on his return on account of short circuit in battery. In the evening motored Mrs. 
Mohlman home. She seemed much disheartened at conduct of her brother and criticized very much his sulky, petty ways and lack of activity.

Oct 21. Worked all day in laboratory and made patent test for abrasives. mailed same per Thurlow to Byrner & Townsend

of Armstrong [[underline]]Cork Co of Pittsburgh[[/underline]] is in Yonkers and desires to meet me. Went with motor to fetch him and brought him up to my house. Showed him my samples of [[underline]] Cork-Bakalite.[[/underline]] he seemed much interested and desired to go further in the matter. He told me they are using now a
