laboratory and at about 10 AM received the visit by appointment of Saunders, Higgins & Gibson (?) of the Norton Co. They have brought along several grade of alundium and two small iron moulds for moulding Bakalite grinding wheels. Thurlow was present.
I showed them liquid A Bakalite all my samples of B and C Bakelite and explained to them how A gets transformed in C & B and how we proceed. 
We then showed them how to make a wheel. I told Mr Higgins that [[underline]] provisionally I would not propose the matter to their competitors so as to give them a chance to determine whether it was worth while [[/underline]]

[[underline]] for them to try to obtain the exclusive sale of Bakalite [[/underline]] for grinding wheel purposes. I told them that I intended to sell them liquid Bakalite at 25c a lb in large lots and if they were willing to contract for regular large annual quantities we might make an arrangement on that basis. I also told that I would revisit on the word Bakalized or Bakalite being used in conjunction with their products. They seemed very interested and very well pleased. Promised them to send samples in a day or two. They took lunch here with me Mrs. Baekeland and Thurlow being present.
