Dec 21. Wrote letters and foreign patent specifications. Evening meeting of Anvil Club at Hagerman's. Speaker: Dr. Tildsley. [[underline]] Currency system & money panics [[/underline]]. Interesting paper and good discussion. 
Dec 22. Spent morning in study room reading and patent specification writing.

Afternoon visit of Cheneau who came to tell me that Pathé Frères are desirous to make their own films. Advised him to make connection with Anthony Scovill Co. 
In evening went to call at Mr. Young's who promised me some more wood for my experiments.

Pouring and warm rain all day.
Dec 23. Spent all day in lab. preparing bisulphite liquor for impregnation
Dec. 24. Spent all day in lab.
Dec. 25. Magnificent mild weather. 
Happy day for the children.
Worked all morning in study room. At 12:30 Lewis drove Celine and myself to Manhattan Opera house. Les Contes de Hofmann. very well played. Had supper in New York and arrived home about 9 P.M
Dec 26. Worked in lab all day.
Dec 27. 28. 29. 30. Nothing particular
worked in lab. and in my study room. Mild weather.
Dec. 31 A beautiful crisp day. not too cold. The children cooked their own lunch on camp fire down the lawn. Worked most of the day in laboratory. The remainder in study room.
