Discussion with the architect as to going on farther with the twower(sic) this winter  It is very nearly completed but in as much as a large body of men are to be employed and they can work but one day in two or three
I think it will be best to stop the work until good weather when every day will tell.
We are now arrived at that part of the year in which we may expect a storm every week and as we are obliged to pay double price for materials and double wages to workmen we had better defer the work until spring.
