Region north of El Valle de Anton Prov. of Cocle. Elevation about 1000m - June, 1941. X2931 - Stan Hopea - Flowered in the collection of Mr. A.D.B. Fairchild, San Francisco de la Caleta, and collected by him at the above locality. Flowers creamy white, without characteristic "eyes" or spots. Larger than either S. wardii or S. bucephalus. (1). X2932 - Maxillaria - (Koerber photograpa) flowers sessile in leaf axils - Sepals and petals yellow. Lip reddish brown. Column reddish brown - fragrant (1)collected by Mr. A.D.B. Fairchild and flowered in his collection Feb 12, 1942 - Vicinity of Pacora - Rep. de Panama - 25 m - 2-17-42 X2933- Ohcidium - Stipitatum - sepals and petals yellow - richly splotched and barred chestnut brown - frontal - much expanded lobe of labellum. Bright yellow - lateral slender lobes of same color - chestnut brown crested callus ^a base of lip^ below column. (3) (Flowers in pickle show variation in size)
