Gov. Liu ChĂȘn-hua asked us to stop over in Hsi-an Fu for two or three days, until he could find leisure to discuss with us our plans for future work in his province.  We occupied the time with visits to the local antique shops, the Provincial Museum, and other places of interest.  At the Lama Temple we were shown a great stone bowl carved all over with a tasteful floral design in low relief and with a key pattern encircling its collar and foot. [[strikethrough]] (pl. LXIX).
