Know All men by these presents that I Tobias Hanson of the City of Washington for the consideration of a loan of the sum of one Hundred & fifty five dollars to me in hand paid By Henry Evans the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted Bargained And Sold unto the Said Evans my Slave Daughter mary which Said Slave I warrant and defend against all persons - whomsoever.  The condition of the above obligation is such that if the above named Tobias Hanson give the services of the said mary to the said evans four days in each & every week hereafter until the Said [[strikethrough]] the Said [[/strikethrough]] Tobias Hanson shall return to the Said Evans the Sum of one Hundred and fifty five dollars then the above obligation null & void otherwise in full force & virtue of Law Given under my hands this Twenty Seventh day of may one thousand eight hundred & thirty three
