Tully, Onondaga Co, N.Y., -
Monday, August 27, 1888 -
Examined John Onsby's Glen, outcrop
1200 D.
Dip o. Over 25 feet thick, as per Level.
Rock is exposed in petty falls, towards north.
Towards top, shaly, black, Calciferous Argillite.
In the p.m., I determine the outcrop on Meeker Hill, about or near the north line of Lot 20, and terminates about 100 rods north of the town line, on Lot 90 of Lafayette.
I find here clear proofs of a terminal moraine, filled with northern drift together with Tully Limestone just scraped from its bed, directly under the moraine.
