you would have liked very much to live with - subtle and to me lightly sad and gay at the same time - It is of our country there without any of the feeling imposed by people who have lived there -

You might not see it that way at all -

It is also one of my paintings that I least wish to give up -
however - I feel it would satisfy your exacting demands more that any of the four you thought about - and I oddly wish to please you.
- However - for the present lets call it settled - I merely wanted to say what I have honestly thought about it myself - as I thought of it
