At 7 P.M went to meeting of Inventors Guild at Engineers Club Dr. Northrup of Philada and a certain Mr. [[Smooth?]] and Dr. Winship there. This was Pupin's dinner but he was not there so Hewitt ordered champagne for him. Took 11[[underlined]]40[[/underlined]] home, felt rather tired.
