Mr. Church
Dear Sir:
I'd like to know why you don't let us have a bit of news from you occasionally.
I was able to pacify the people for a while, but they are beginning to stop me in the streets again.  [[vertical wiggle line]]I want to soothe them with a little information. I saw Mr. De Forest a few day ago but he had not heard from you. " nor any other man". The little picture that you daubed for him is in the N.H. Exhibition.
The Ex. is rather better than usual. I have one picture in  - a storm.
I'm having a great run of sales in Chicago, [[vertical wiggle line]] hope it will continue.
Somebody out there wanted one of my salt meadows, so I painted one - a sun-rise - near Boston, intending to fill up the sky with clouds, but a person who came in was so
