Left Elk River at 5:20 A.M. Train poked and waited & did not reach St. Paul till 7:30
Had 20 minutes to go up town & get ticket & back to depot & got trunk checked. Was just 4 minutes late and last the 7:50 train.
We had to wait till 7:30 P.M. for next train - could have gone at 1 P.M. by other R.R. but had tickets by the C. St. P. M. & O.
Went to Delicatessens Restaurant & paid a big price for a poor breakfast. Waited at Depo till after noon.
